Wildcard Playable Trading Cards

Wildcard’s Genesis Mint will debut on OpenSea’s front page later in March. On the day of the mint, packs of collectible NFT cards will be available in four phases:

• Invited: The MVPs of Wildcard’s community, identified by their gold INVITED role on the Wildcard Discord and registered via premint.xyz, will get a guaranteed chance to mint at least one pack before anyone else.
• Collectors: Community members holding Wildcard Swag in their wallet will be eligible to mint before the public, on a first-come-first-served basis.
• Public Premint: Anyone who registers on premint.xyz before the mint will get their shot to mint before the general public.

Melee on the Meteor, Wildcard's historic Web3 gaming exhibition, took place on February 23rd, 2023, live on the Wildcard Discord server and across social media and streaming platforms. This is your chance to see the very first time Wildcard was played live by members of the actual community, experience the heart-stopping game in action, and let us prove to you that we’re building one of the most fun games in web3!

Pricing will be announced in the near future. There will be a single price for each NFT card pack, with the chance to receive a rarer NFTs based on transparent on-chain odds, which will be documented prior to the mint.

The Wildcard NFT Ticket mint will debut on OpenSea, which supports a wide variety of Web3 wallets. More details can be found here.

There will be a purchase limit per wallet, which will be announced prior to the mint.

Wildcard Playable card NFTs will be standard ERC1155 NFTs, tradeable on Ethereum-compatible platforms and marketplaces such as OpenSea.

Wildcard will have many different mints in the future. Some will be free, some will not. The Wildcard playable NFT cards and Wildcard Swag are just two types of Wildcard mints - please stay tuned (and check out the Wildpaper AMA) for more information about the Wildcard roadmap.

We are utilizing the ethereum-compatible Polygon blockchain. We have an incredible relationship with the Polygon team and are very optimistic about their tech and team they're building. Polygon's core vision is (paraphrasing) "we help teams scale on ETHEREUM." Ultimately their vision is that Ethereum is the most important and valuable Layer 1 chain, and that Polygon is a set of technologies that helps projects like Wildcard work with Ethereum in more optimized, efficient ways. This has immediate benefit for Wildcard collectors, thanks to  gas prices being far lower on Polygon than on eth mainnet.

We have an ambitious, robust, and well-funded roadmap for Wildcard’s ongoing development. Our goal has been and always will be to build an incredibly fun game, and we think the game will speak for itself.
